Being the family historian is a rewarding job! Just by taking bits and pieces of family history that my 99-year-old grandmother provided me with afforded me the opportunity of telling her things about the family that she didn’t even know. For example, I handed her the signed and sealed Civil War Enlistment papers of her grandfather. It was monumental for the both of us!
